HARBOUR MUSIC AT SFU

In 2025, I launched a pilot project through the Morris J. Wosk Centre for Dialogue at Simon Fraser University with the aim of building community through collective music-making. Harbour Music is a free singing group for SFU faculty, staff, and students, where all voices are welcome—seasoned choristers, shower soloists, and shy singers alike. I host weekly gatherings at SFU’s Harbour Centre where we sing, move, and improvise in a fun, low-pressure environment. No auditions are required, and no ability to read music is necessary. Together, we explore a diverse repertoire spanning different traditions and eras, and we conclude each term with a joyful (and participatory!) musical sharing.

Harbour Music is not only about making music but about cultivating harmony, confidence, and connection. To learn more about participating in these gatherings as a member of the SFU community, click the button below.
